COMMITTEES
Collects and qualifies grant applications.
The outreach committee is responsible for collecting grant applications and ensuring each prospect meets NWP’s baseline criteria ahead of the applications going to Grant Screening.
Each fall, this committee organizes a Symposium, a presentation where local non-profits and NWP members come together to discuss the next year’s application and the process NWP takes when issuing grants.
Sonnya Debonis, Committee Chair
Vets all grant applications & narrows the applicant pool.
As the largest committee within NWP, “grant screening” performs the essential function of analyzing each grant applicant and its project, ultimately selecting two finalists to present at the annual Grant Hearing for all members to vote on.
Holly McRae, Committee Chair
Maintains ongoing relationships with past grant recipients.
When a grant is awarded to an organization, the recipient enters a three year monitoring agreement connecting them with an assigned NWP member. The grant recipient and their “grant monitor” communicate regularly to discuss grant milestones and other data points ensuring ongoing engagement and attention.
Wendy Hornbuckle, Committee Chair
Engages with and builds NWP's member community.
The membership committee is responsible for building NWP’s community of members through prospective membership gatherings (AKA “friendraisers”) and communications with both existing and potential members.
Trina Pascal, Committee Chair

Organizes community events and education initiatives.
The education and events committee plans all of NWP’s events including the annual Educational Symposium which helps to foster a deep sense of community awareness and involvement.
Stephanie Gullbrants, Committee Chair
Serves as NWP's liaison for media relations.
The communications committee is responsible for all member correspondence, the NWP newsletter, press releases, and maintaining the organization’s social media presence.

Managed the NWP Endowment Fund.
Created in 2018, the investment committee was created with the advent of The NWP Endowment Fund. The Endowment Fund supports NWP’s mission through sustained and well-invested funds providing an opportunity for members and supporters to donate outside of the grant cycle year.
