In 2005 a group of women, Dena duBoef, Heather duBoef, Marcelle Frey, Dana Lee, Trina Pascal and Tawny Sanders, discussed finding a way to make direct and meaningful philanthropic impact beyond what any of them could do individually.  From this desire, Nevada Women’s Philanthropy was founded.  Structured on the benefit of the giving circle model, NWP quickly found like-minded women attracted to the idea of making lasting philanthropic investments in Southern Nevada

With an all-volunteer operating model and rigorous grant making process, NWP values collaboration within its organization and amongst the non-profit community. Its Annual Impact Grants are chosen for their foreseeable impact addressing critical community needs and long-term sustainability.  The “one-member, one-vote” format empowers every member to make her own impact. 

NWP is a donor advised fund through the Nevada Community Foundation.  All donations and membership contributions are tax-deductible.
