GRANT PROCESS

NWP’s grant process begins in September with the Outreach Symposium and ends in May when both the Impact Grant and Founders’ Gift are presented to the awarded organizations.

Scheduled mini-sessions will be held to respond to nonprofit questions related to the Impact Grant Application.

OCTOBER

SEPTEMBER

The Outreach Committee hosts an informational Symposium for all interested nonprofits.

NOVEMBER

Grant Applications are due to the Outreach Committee (OC).
Grant Applications are reviewed by the OC and organizations moving forward in the grant process are informed.

DECEMBER

JANUARY

The Grant Screening Committee (GSC) reviews all applications and votes on those moving forward to the Document Packet (“Doc Pac”) Phase. Additional information is requested from selected agencies to inform further deliberation.
Doc Pac Teams submit any additional questions to applicants, as needed.  GSC members vote to move a reduced number of applications to Site Interviews.

FEBRUARY

MARCH

Site Interviews are conducted with remaining applicants. GSC selects two finalists for the grant year, in addition to one alternate.
Selected agencies meet with GSC chairs and sign finalist agreements.  Agencies prepare their final proposals to be distributed to all NWP members.

APRIL

MAY

Votes are tallied and the selected agency is informed. The runner up receives the Founders Gift.
