Year 2017
Nevada Women’s Philanthropy (NWP) awards $405,000 to US VETS, Las Vegas. The grant funds were utilized to add staffing for support services and capital improvements to enhance security at the Bonanza Road residential facility.
The Shade Tree received the $30,000 NWP Founders Gift, an unrestricted grant annually awarded to the runner up.
Year 2016
Nevada Women’s Philanthropy (NWP) awards $385,000 to HELP of Southern Nevada. Funds were used to purchase furniture, fixtures, and equipment for the new Shannon West Homeless Youth Center located on the Flamingo Campus.
Three Square received the $30,000 NWP Founders Gift.
Year 2015
Nevada Women’s Philanthropy (NWP) awards $350,000 to WestCare Nevada. The funds were used to carry out vital improvements to an aging 33,000-square-foot building at WestCare’s Women and Children’s Campus in North Las Vegas.
Future Smiles received the $30,000 NWP Founders Gift.
Year 2014
Nevada Women’s Philanthropy (NWP) awards $350,000 to Communities in Schools Nevada. Funds were used to purchase 240 laptops and 14 laptop carts to be utilized in CIS Academy classes at seven comprehensive high school sites in the Clark County School District. Students now have dedicated technology to retrieve necessary credits and complete coursework in intensive academy programs.
Touro University’s Center for Autism & Developmental Disabilities received the $30,000 NWP Founders Gift, an unrestricted grant annually awarded to the runner up.
Year 2013
Nevada Women’s Philanthropy (NWP) awards $350,000 to Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth. NPHY utilized the funds to expand the organization’s existing Youth Drop In Center on Shirley Street near the University of Nevada Las Vegas and expanded services for their clients.
New Vista Ranch received the $30,000 NWP Founders Gift.
Year 2012
Nevada Women’s Philanthropy (NWP) awards $350,000 to Goodwill Industries of Southern Nevada. Goodwill Industries utilized the funds to establish the NWP Veteran’s Integration Program dedicated to providing comprehensive, coordinated job training and employment services tailored to the unique needs of veterans, military service members and their families.
Helping Hands of Vegas Valley & James Seastrand Helping Hands of North Las Vegas in collaboration received the $30,000 NWP Founders Gift.
